  • P Kerry Wood to the Cleveland Indians for $20 million over 2 years.
  • P Francisco Rodriguez to the New York Mets for $37 million over 3 years.
  • In a Three Team Trade:
    • P JJ Putz, OF Jeremy Reed, and P Sean Green from the Mariners to the Mets.
    • OF Franklin Gutierrez from the Indians and P Aaron Heilman, CF Endy Chavez, and four Minor Leaguers from the Mets to the Mariners.
    • P Joe Smith from the Mets and IF Luis Valbuena from the Mariners to the Indians
  • In a Two Team Trade:
    • Tigers acquired P Edwin Jackson from the Rays for OF Matt Joyce.

Rumor Mill

  • 1B Mark Teixera has received deals from the following teams:
    • Washington Nationals: $160 millon over 8 years.
    • Baltimore Orioles: $150 million over 7 years.
    • Boston-LA Angels-NY Yankees also in the running.
