mlbThe New York Yankees have spent $423.5 million dollars on three free agent acquisitions this offseason.


CC Sabathia: $161 million, 7 years.
A.J. Burnett: $82.5 million, 5 years.
Mark Teixeira: $180 million, 8 years.

If a professional sports team is going to spend that kind of money to get the best players in the league, their season will be an absolute waste if they don't win the world series this year. We may be in a recession nationwide, but it has yet to effect the Steinbrenner's. My God, $423.5 million!
