( 0 Votes ) Youngstown- With 4.5 seconds left, YSU Sophomore Vytas Sulskis took the in-bounds pass and drove through the UWM defense and drained a ten foot floater to give the Penguins a 70-68 win over the Milwaukee Panthers. The win tonight was the fourth in a row for the Penguins, all against Horizon League teams, for the first time since joining the Horizon League at the turn of the century.

Youngstown State was led in scoring by Sirlester Martin with 20 and DeAndre Mays with 15. The Penguins shot 44.1% for the game, while the Panthers shot 43.9% from the field.

The win helps solidify the Penguins chances for hosting a first round tournament game, putting the Penguins ahead by 2.5 games over Valpo, and 3 games over UIC and Loyola. The Penguins play in-state rival Cleveland State Wednesday in Cleveland.

GO PENGUINS
