Well unless hell freezes over and some unknown being comes down and does miracles for Hillary Clinton; the Democratic Nominee for President will be Barack Obama. It's time to forget about Clinton because she is done, and she will likely not be the VP for Obama either, considering much of the recent tension between the two politicians. As conservatives, our goal this election is to keep Barack Obama out of the White House.
Many conservatives are voting for McCain to simply keep Obama and the Democrats out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but I have a few reasons to back McCain. I back him wholeheartedly on Iraq, Education, Taxes, the Economy, and Health Care. McCain's health care policy to me seems completely logical and one of the best proposals a Republican has made in some time. It calls for those without Health Insurance to receive a $5000 per family or $2500 per individual tax deduction. The monies would be directly paid to the insurance company of a family/individuals choice and any remaining dollars would be invested into a Health Savings Account.
This idea is a lot better than the Tax Hiking, unneeded, 2nd rate Universal Health Care plans of the Democrats. Everyone fails to mention that 12,000,000 of the 50,000,000 without Health Care are illegal immigrants. McCain's Health Care plan does not give the deductions to illegal's, while the Democratic plans cover the illegals... You just got to love it!
This issue will win many conservatives over like it won me over. But the bigger issue now is that we must all join together to get the Stop Obama Express rolling again! We cannot afford to have Obama in the White House! We must keep any bit of conservativism left in Washington for the future of America!
