Wilson (D) vs. Allen (R) vs. Traficant (I)?

Although no one else is reporting this, Jim Traficant's residence in Poland, OH is actually in Charlie Wilson's (D) 6th District; therefore if Jim Traficant were to run, he would have to run against Democrat Charlie Wilson and his challenger Dr. Donald Allen (R). EDIT: That is not true; according to Ohio State Law Jim Traficant could run in any district he would like to choose in Ohio. Thanks to Fred Thomas and Mr. O'Neil for the clarification on that one. Sorry for the misinformation on my end.

Now the question is whether or not Jim Traficant will run for Congress? Well I talked with someone close with Traficant today and they have informed me that Jim Traficant is contemplating and leaning towards running against Charlie Wilson in the 6th District.

Personally, I like Traficant's chances in a much more center-right 6th District, as opposed to the center-left 17th District where Tim Ryan resides. I have no idea if Mr. Traficant would run as a Democrat or an Independent, but my guess is he would run as an Independent.

However I will be torn on who I would support in this race, because I have been quite impressed with Dr. Donald Allen, the Republican in the race. I will hold back any endorsements until early next year at the earliest.
