Jim Traficant will have to decide by February 18, 2010 if he will run for Congress in either the 6th, 16th, or 17th Congressional Districts in Ohio come May 2010. According to yesterday's Vindicator, Jim Traficant is expected to run as a Democrat, despite his conservative stances on so many issues. So, what does that mean? It means Charlie Wilson, John Boccieri, or Tim Ryan better get ready for the fight of their political lives because they will all have to deal with a major political force in Jim Traficant.
I personally believe it is the wrong move for Traficant to run as a Democrat because he no longer represents much of what the Democratic Party now stands for, and it also means his political future would be decided by May, instead of November 2010 when he could get more votes in what is expected to be a conservative landslide.
Whatever district Traficant decides to run in, he'll pose a major threat to the three Democratic incumbents. I really do not want to put any odds on which district Traficant would be the strongest in, I would just like to see him run in Tim Ryan's 17th District so we can get rid of Pelosi's boy once and for all!
