Ryan Cancels Due to Protests

I don't know about Metzinger's 3rd round pick, but I'm pretty sure that Ryan didn't want to have to answer for referring to his constituents as racist tea baggers, and condemning a real grass-roots movement while using an astro-turf org. like the M.V.O.C. to sell this thing for him. That's right, M.V.O.C. who collaborates with the S.E.I.U. who, as I recall, beat the crap out of a black conservative at an event, just not too long ago. I know why Ryan didn't show, because he is a hypocrite and a coward.

timmy contacted the Youngstown Community Health Center the week of March 22-26 asking to come and speak with their staff and any patients. They said " ok !". In Monday night's Youngstown " Sleazacator " an article stated that ryan and MVOC would be there on Tuesday and that MVOC would be questioning patients as they walked in. Tuesday morning a friend of mine who works there called me and told me how upset the staff was that ryan had LIED to them and was bringing a political group (MVOC). Some Tea people found out that timmy and MVOC were going to be at the clinic and quickly got 12 people together and they went to the clinic to protest. I observed from across the street at the funeral home from 1:30 until 3:10 PM. It was announced that he was not coming because of "security concerns." On the 110 PM news ( WKBN Ch 27 ), a timmy staff member, PAT LOWRY, stated that timmy did show up because it had become a "political event" and that timmy did not want that! That statement is a LIE !! timmy is the one that invited MVOC to come with him! timmy created the political atmosphere at the clinic. Once opposition appeared, it was time for timmy to RUN AWAY ! And the " political SPIN " was that timmy wanted to look good while being a COWARD! This guy has got to go !! Semper Fi ! " VOTE AMERICA.....VOTE TRAFICANT !"

Mr . If you have followed the Business Journal for the past two days they are really slamming for Tim Ryan cancelling his visit. It is not only unfair, but untrue! He is a public official and one would think he would welcome every oppurtunity to speak to his constituents!

Hi Beth Haddle ! Thanks for the reply ! I read it in either Monday or Sunday's Vindicator ! If necessary, I will go down to the Vindy and get a copy of it. Tuesday morning, the day of the meeting, one of your employees, a friend of mine called me and stated some of your staff was upset because timmy was bringing MVOC and they had read it in the Vindicator, and that he was suppose to come alone. Thus, timmy made it POLITICAL ! And yet, that was his excuse for not showing up because it had become POLITICAL! Pat LOWRY LIED when interviewed by the press! I heard and saw him LYING on Ch 27 news at 110 PM ! As for safety concerns... 12 protestors ( not me, I was there as an observer ), seven of which had to be in their 60's, probably would not be deemed as a "THREAT!" It's time for timmy to go! Sounds to me like he just wanted to have a small visit with the patients to discuss the bill with them, but some people decided to protest that. In actuality it sounds like the protesters prevented Tim Ryan from doing his job in a "comfortable" location. He was trying to talk to constituents but was hounded by a group of "upset" protesters. Instead of doing this they should have set up a more formal/organized protest and make Tim Ryan's phone go off the hook.

Beth Haddle, the Chief Operating Officer of the clinic was one of the protesters Tim. She kept everyone informed of Tim Ryan's appearance.

Honestly I don't really give a shit. I just don't know why you guys have to assume someone is lying just because he happens to be a democrat. If someone says they feel threatened then just leave it be.

Even if Traficant gets voted in, which I highly doubt, he will be shunned worse then the plague. That would be the worse possible outcome I can think of. I mean we don't get much now, Ryan gets Youngstown some pork, however with Trafficant I don't see Youngstown getting any. I am not saying he was guilty or whatever Rick so don't start writing in CAPS because you are wasting your time.

Hi Smith ! I am not attacking the Dems...I have been one my entire life! I am attackintg the lying, deceitful do nothing timmy ryan! His staff never returns constituents phone calls! Jim Traficant's staff had 24 hours to resolve a constituent's problem! No excuses, just results! As for Jim being "shunned" after he beats either timmy or charlie, my belief is that any Congressman that has been there since 2002, will bend over backwards to assist him. They all know exactly the screw job Jim got by the feds, hell, my book proves he got screwed ! You would be in awe regarding the number of current congressman and senators who have called him since his release from prion on September 2nd. Some low lifes that hate Traficant started a rumor about 3 months ago that even if he wins, the House will not seat him! That is a "lie!" Article 1, Section 5 of the U.S.Constitution states, "the House shall judge the qualifications of its members." In 1969 Rep Adam Clayton Powell was denied his seat by the House because of pending legal problems. He took it to the U.S. Supreme Court, and their decision stated, "the House will judge the "Constitutional" qualifications of its members ( ie age, citizenship, etc) and he was seated! Happy Easter! I am guessing everyone on here believes he is lying in article. It is sad that Tim Smith is the only one making sense right now.

Ms. Haddle, why would you allow a protest to occur at a health center and allow for one of the protesters to get inside? That really reflects bad upon the health center's leadership ability.

DEATH THREAT? Chuck it was an ANGRY LETTER, not a death threat! Why in God's name did he need to call out the Police and Fire for a letter without a return address label? Real Scary Chuck.

If someone phoned in a bomb threat at his Youngstown location, I would understand the need to do that, but to make a big hoopla about something like this just shows how bad Tim Ryan and his workers are overreacting right now.

Tim Ryan is doing nothing more but to paint his enemies, those angry at him for voting YEA on ObamaCare, as violent people. He did it Tuesday by saying those 12 protesters are associated with the violent people and he did it again yesterday.

The stunts of the past week make me want to see Traficant run against Tim Ryan more than ever. And yes, I would vote for Traficant over Tim Ryan.

The two people making fools of themselves right now are you and Tim Smith. The letter he was crying about was nothing more than an angry letter attacking him for his vote on that garbage health care bill. You need to wake up and smell the coffee chousteau and STOP feeling sympathetic for Timmy Ryan. He brought this on by voting with Pelosi and Reid on a bill the American people HATED.

First off it was Mr. Lowry that made the decision regarding the bomb threat. Tim Ryan was not in the office at the time. If you want to give him slack for canceling the meeting, you should, but I feel it is nitpicking at best.

Second, I voted for McCain and consider myself middle of the road. I am extremely frustrated with the garbage attacks from the right as I was with the way the left treated Bush.

I have gotten to meet and take part in meetings with Mr. Ryan and have found he is a very genuine person. I believe he cares about this area and wants nothing but the best. That goal may be very unrealistic considering the economic condition and job base that is here. Mr. Ryan has a great personal story and has really carved his own path and created his own opportunities through hard work (sounds like the American Dream).

I have had several incidents in the last year that has made me realize that health care reform is necessary. These incidents will probably effect me for the next several years or so. I am also nearing the end of my education and realize how hard it is to find a job right now. I am not drinking the kool aid and living in utopia. I am just trying to remain open to any ideas. I am very optimistic about the future that lies ahead.

If you believe that voting out Tim Ryan will fix broken county governments, corrupt school boards that value a paycheck over kids education, and a city bureaucracy that desperately needs streamlined, then vote him out. That is were the change is needed and is quietly gaining support among those with influence.

When do I not make sense chuck? And Fred I don't really care for the Ohio Democratic Party that much anymore. I am actually going to vote against Strickland, I am just trying to make sense of this jackass. And I don't see Tim Ryan getting voted out, so have fun with that.
