The polls are getting worse and worse and worse for Barack Obama. Not only now does Real Clear Politics have McCain winning with leaners 274-264, but devastating news out of the upper midwest as a once solid blue state in our map has gone to the toss up variety. That is right the great state of Minnesota is now a toss up state with recent polls show Obama up by just 2.4 points. This state even went BLUE in 84, when Reagan blew out Mondale.

So we have moved Minnesota to the toss up variety and have moved Nevada to the lean McCain category. Nevada, much like New Mexico, hasn’t had a great number of polls out this past summer, but of the ones out, all but one favor McCain. So in the end we now have this race 233 for Obama to 232 for McCain, with 73 toss up votes yet to be decided.

Things should change over the coming days when Obama announces his VP, has his big acceptance speech at INVESCO Field, then McCain the next day will name his VP, and just days later we’ll celebrate the GOP Convention in the toss up state of: MINNESOTA.
